Weapons are capable of absorbing the Houkai Energy around them. After this has gone on for a period of time, the weapon will eventually gain a mind of its own. This is what we call "Awakening". As most of the weapons that "Awaken" are legendary artifacts with powers of the divine, some also call this phenomenon "Divinity Awakening".

武器在长久的使用中，会不断吸收溢散的崩坏能，从而觉醒自己的意识，这种状态被称为觉醒。又因为这种状况多见于本身就具有神明的力量的神器上，所这种状态也被称为神格觉醒。

装備が長く使われているうちに、崩壊エネルギーを吸収し、自我の意識に芽生える。この状態を覚醒という。またこうした状況は本体そのものが神の力を持った神器に多く見られるので、神格覚醒とも呼ばれる。

장비가 장기간 사용되면서 붕괴 에너지를 흡수해 자아적 의식이 싹트는 현상. 이를 각성이라 칭한다. 또한 이 같은 현상은 본체 자체가 신의 힘을 지닌 신기(神器)에서 자주 관측되기 때문에 신격각성(神格覺醒)으로도 불린다.
